Precision Aerospace Engine Components
Arrowsmith Engineering specialises in machining fully certified and bonded components in titanium, nimonics, stainless steel, exotic metal and engineering plastics with the commitment to consistently manufacture and supply quality machined parts fully certified, on time, right first time.
Arrowsmith began as an aerospace machine workshop in 1967 and in 1970 received Rolls-Royce approval. Since then, Arrowsmith has been extensively involved in developing complex parts and has established itself as a strategic supplier within the aerospace supply chain. After being taken over in 1995 by the Aldridge family, the company has grown under the R-R Sabre 2 Model so that it now supplies to both the civil and defence aerospace industries. In 2017 the company was also incorporated into the ASG group; this has facilitated further growth and led to work such as converting development NPI parts into production parts for Rolls-Royce Trent 1000ten and Trent 7000 engines.
As a nominated key supplier, Arrowsmith is constantly introducing processes and lean techniques to improve our efficiency. These include SC21 and Customer led improvement projects and the installation of improved software systems including: IPI NPI, SPC, 8D, MRP System, Visual Fairs and CAD CAM Upgrades. On time in full delivery has risen to over 90% with a target of 97%. Quality to our customers is 99.8% with a target of 99.9%.
Capabilities include CNC Turning and Milling, Grinding, Thread Rolling and NDT services. Work is undertaken from the development stage through to production and after sales. The company can accommodate small and large production quantities, alien and stranger parts and fast reaction works. Arrowsmith also holds delegated FAIR authority and Classified status.
Through the combined use of specialist software, such as Visual IPI, and extensive knowledge and experience, Arrowsmith understands and can meet the demands of several industry sectors.
Arrowsmith holds accreditation from several bodies including SC21 Silver status and is proud to have been recognised as being committed to its workforce by being awarded the ‘Workplace Well Being National Charter Award’.
