At WES Hardmetal Engineering we offer subcontract machining for all engineering solutions but specialising in harder exotic materials such as Carbides, Titanium, Inconel and many more ( full list of materials available below ).

We provide the standard, more conventional, manufacture methods such as CNC 3- axis milling and turning but also more specialist manufacturing like EDM Spark erosions, EDM wire erosion, CNC Grinding, Lapping, 5 -axis milling, laser marking and Advanced polishing.

CNC machined parts are manufactured to a very high standard, our normal tolerances are 4 microns working to ISO 9001:2008, ensuring we machine your parts to your specification to deliver satisfaction.

All our engineers are CAD trained and we employ a Solid CAM programme which allows us to send programmes straight from our desktops to the machines, this reduces errors and production times, therefore improving efficiency throughout our manufacturing processes.

We produce a wide range of products for a number of industries, however our main speciality is machining bespoke parts to individual client drawings and designs. Subcontract Machining specialist processes including grinding, milling, turning, spark erosion and wire erosion, to extremely tight tolerances. We work with a vast range of materials on a daily basis from lighter metals such as Aluminium, to incredibly hard metals such as Tungsten Carbide. We regularly provide our customers with advice and assistance in choosing the right material for a particular application. Carbide in particular has many contrasting grades which are suitable for different applications.
