Site Facilities
Shop Floor
6250m2 Proeon Systems is based at the Hethel Engineering Centre just outside of Norwich, Norfolk, UK, providing easy access to the A11 to and from London. Proeon occupies four of the largest units within the centre and we have access to the shared common areas including conference and training rooms and the coffee area. The company enjoys the following facilities at the centre: 3 Offices: 3,956 ft2 2 Workshops: 2,659 ft2 2 Workshops (inc Mezzanines): 3,591 ft2 1 Container Storage: 200 ft2 A large external area is provided outside of the offices and workshop to the rear to provide facilities for laydown, storage and assembly areas. The area allows for access for HGV transport vehicles. In addition to the permanent facilities, the centre provides facilities for short term expansion to accommodate dedicated workshops and / or offices for projects that require additional space. Each workshop area is equipped with a 100A 3phase supply and the entire office and workshop area is flood wired with Cat6 network cabling with gigabit network switches. An extensive inventory of development software, hardware and test equipment is held in-house to allow the development and testing of systems prior to dispatch.

Recent Work
Crane Control System - Nuclear Sector
Proeon are pleased to be offering to asset operators both on and offshore, a comprehensive and adaptable control package for multiple crane platform applications.
From the very basic single stage cranes through to complex applications in container terminals, on ships, and Nuclear facilities. Proeon can bring together all the facets of control, monitoring and safety into a turnkey package.
A typical system will comprise of a New Crane Control Panel (CCP) which integrates systems from the Engine house and power distribution panels through to the driver’s cabin, where the driver interface displays relevant information for the driver.
Proeon systems have been retrofitting complex and critical systems on brown field facilities for over a decade where life extension of the asset is a cost effective way of continuing to carry out functions at site. With the addition of state-of-the-art control, instrumentation and monitoring, an owner can operate a crane asset in the most efficient manner, with lower operating costs, safer functionality, and ease of use for operators.
Crane and lifting equipment are subject to frequent inspection and testing with LOLER* and PUWER* regulations in the UK for the safe maintenance and operation of the asset. The mechanical aspects of the equipment are under continuous scrutiny and often updated. The controller aspects are often the original as installed at manufacture, becoming unsupportable and potentially limited in terms of user information.
*Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) *Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)
